A few years ago I had a crack at this asset from World of Warcraft as fanart, and I thought it’d be fun to go back over and re-do it.
Scarlet Crusade Environment
Using some older assets and making some new ones, I re-made an older portfolio environment piece based on the Scarlet Monastery in World of Warcraft.
Environment: French Wine cellar
I used this project as a way to learn more about Unity’s lighting and materials using the HDRP setup. The project was based around a French wine cellar predominately, and secondly it, that had been used by the resistance in WW2. Full Resolution renders can be seen Here.
Stylised Wine Barrels
I’m currently working on a larger Environment piece, and this is just a little offshoot from that.
Using only the albedo texture to create the look, meaning I didn’t need the normal, or any other map to enhance the model, and it also reduces the impact on Sketchfab or engine used.
Old fashioned camera

Scarlet Kris (and barrel)
Following the the environment piece previously, I wanted to focus on a weapon, and came across the scarlet Kris in WoW, and using that as a starting point I went ahead with re-creating it with slightly stylised textures.

Divinity Engine 2 ready Asset
Using 2k textures made in Substance painter, photoshop and Krita. Modelled in 3DS Max and Sculpted in Mudbox. I created a template for exporting out materials from Substance painter to the Divinity Engine.
